Kaija believes in the power of storytelling to shape our understanding of the world and inspire change. Before joining Lilja Communications, she ran her own communications consulting business, handled media relations and publications for the Minnesota Department of Natural Resources and worked as a reporter and researcher at magazines. She has written for New York Magazine, Real Simple and Budget Travel.
Kaija has a Bachelor of Arts degree in anthropology from the University of Vermont and a Master of Arts in journalism from New York University.
In her spare time she likes to mountain bike, garden, listen to podcasts and spend time outdoors with her very active twins.
